About
People's is an evening club and art salon located in Greenwich Village, New York. Once the home of the historic Downtown Gallery, People's features a rotation of contemporary works by emerging artists in a residential townhouse setting.
Founded in 1926, The Downtown Gallery is regarded as an influential birthplace of American Modernism, spotlighting early works by artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe, Max Weber, and Stuart Davis. It was the first gallery in the United States dedicated exclusively to contemporary American art by living artists.
Visits to the club and salon are by
appointment only.
